On July 19, the International School of Economics at Tbilisi State University (ISET) gathered at the Sheraton Grand Tbilisi Metechi Palace Hotel for a landmark celebration: the 2026 Diploma Award Ceremony.
The stage belonged to 154 students stepping out of ISET’s Bachelor’s in Economics, Master’s in Economics, and Master’s in Finance programs. Armed with world-class training, this ambitious cohort now joins a prestigious global alumni network spanning leading financial institutions, tech industry, policy hubs, and leading doctoral programs worldwide.
ISET Director Tamar Sulukhia addressed the audience, inspiring the Class of 2026 to bring rigorous economic thinking to today’s most pressing challenges. The ceremony featured address of Lasha Saghinadze, Chancellor of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, alongside a video message from Dr. Paul Wachtel, Chairman of the ISET Academic Board and Professor Emeritus at New York University.
The celebration concluded with the traditional cap toss, symbolizing both the culmination of years of rigorous study and the beginning of promising professional paths for the Classes of 2026.
