ISET Students Launch the New Season of the Khidi Project with a Visit to Pankisi

The new season of the Khidi Project — an initiative connecting ISET students with high schoolers from the Pankisi Valley — has officially begun with ISETers traveling to Pankisi to meet their tutees in person. Launched in 2019 by the MAC Foundation with ISET as its key partner, the project (“Khidi” meaning “bridge” in Georgian) builds connections between students through weekly online tutoring sessions in English and Mathematics.

During the visit, ISET students met the Pankisi high schoolers they will mentor throughout the upcoming year, exchanging ideas, setting learning goals, and laying the foundation for meaningful collaboration. The visit marks the start of another year of bridge-building—strengthening educational ties, expanding opportunities for rural youth, and fostering friendship and understanding between young people from different parts of Georgia.

ISET extends its gratitude to MAC Georgia for this wonderful project, and to our 50 volunteer students for their civic engagement.
