The ISET Debates Club has officially opened its doors, marking an exciting new student-led initiative on campus. Launched and headed by undergraduate student David Ashotian, the club aims to introduce students to structured debating and foster a vibrant culture of critical thinking and public speaking at ISET. The opening meeting drew strong interest, offering attendees an overview of how the club will operate and a first introduction to the British Parliamentary debate format.
Following the briefing, participants engaged in the club’s inaugural trial debate, demonstrating impressive enthusiasm and full involvement from the very start. The successful launch marks the beginning of a platform of what promises to be an engaging and intellectually stimulating space for students.
The ISET Debates Club is now officially open to all students wishing to take part in future meetings and activities.
