On July 19, 2025, ISET held its graduation ceremony at the Grand Royal Ballroom of the Tbilisi Biltmore Hotel. The event brought together families, faculty, and distinguished guests to celebrate the academic achievements of 147 graduates from the BA and MA programs in Economics and MA program in Finance. Opening remarks were delivered by Tamar Sulukhia, Director of ISET and the ISET Policy Institute, followed by speeches from Erekle Astakhishvili, Vice-Rector of TSU, and Andrew Jewell, IMF Resident Representative in Georgia. The ceremony also featured a congratulatory video address by H.E. Anna Lyberg, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to Georgia.
This year’s graduation marked a historic milestone for ISET, as the institution awarded diplomas to the very first graduating class of the Master’s Program in Finance. In total, diplomas were conferred to 13 graduates of the MA in Economics, 11 graduates of the MA in Finance, and 123 graduates of the BA in Economics program. Valedictory speeches were delivered by Salome Tsiklauri (MA Economics), Avtandil Purtskhvanidze (MA Finance), and Levan Gujejiani (BA Economics).
As the voice of the ceremony led the countdown, the celebration concluded with the iconic cap toss — a joyful moment that marked the end of the ceremony and the beginning of a bright future for ISET’s Class of 2025.
